String & Hexnut Bracelet

Many people are a little unsure when it comes to buying white gold bracelets, and this is because the metal looks very close to silver and compared to silver, these bracelets are more expensive. So how would you know if the piece you are buying is a genuine bracelet and not just a silver with an inflated price tag? Here are some tips.

Look at the brands. Stores do not put the brands on the jewelry they sell. The craftsmen do it. If the bracelet is made of silver and not white gold, the marks on the lock would read "92.5" and "SS". These stand for the silver designation and the words "sterling silver". On the other hand, if you look at an authentic piece, the lock should have the karat quality of the gold. This can be either 14k or 18k.
Look at the pricing. Of course, a store would not put an overpriced price tag on a sterling silver bracelet without being precious gemstone. If you look at a sterling silver plate, you weigh it with your hand. If it's heavy and it costs $ 200, wasn't too impressed yet. It is definitely a silver bracelet. Pricier silver bracelets are thicker and heavier than other silver beads. And if the jewelry's weight weighs so much and you expect it to be made of white gold, think again. It is bound to cost much more than that.
Look at the shade of "whiteness". While both bracelets are white-gray, silver pieces have more gray in them, while the pieces of other materials are noticeably more radiant. These bracelets will not melt even when you expose it to water or even as it ages. On the other hand, even the highest quality silver will melt with age after a few months. You need to buy a cleaning cloth or powder to maintain the gloss.
While these bracelets are very valuable, other "white" metals are even more expensive. These include titanium and platinum. Most people prefer these two metals despite the larger price tags.

Platinum bracelets, for example, are the only bracelets that can be acquired in their purest form. When you buy platinum bracelets, you can be sure that you get 100% platinum and not just an alloy. White gold is an alloy mixed with silver and other precious metal, so you can only get it in its unclean form: either 14k or 18k. A bit that will be 24k will be too soft. This is not an ideal class for jewelry pieces.

Titanium, on the other hand, is the hardest precious metal on earth. It is more rope and dent resistant compared to most other bracelets. Due to the hardness of this metal, however, it is not versatile in terms of design. Titanium bracelets are good for men's jewelry, but not as impressive as women's bracelets.
